Recruitment Process
1. Enquiry
For more information about owning a COBS Bread franchise or about the Manage To Own (MTO) program, e-mail franchise@cobsbread.com or by phone 1-866-383-COBS (2627).
2. Apply
After conducting your own research into purchasing a COBS Bread franchise or the COBS Bread MTO program, we welcome your application. Click here to apply to purchase a franchise or here to apply for the MTO program.
3. Interview process
Upon review of your application, you may be invited for a telephone and/or in-person interview.
The first meeting is an introductory meeting designed to inform you of the journey involved in purchasing a franchise or the MTO program. It is also an opportunity for you to find out more about us and ask us any questions you may have.
At this time we may also issue you with an online self assessment for your completion. This form provides more information about you, your financial capacity as well as your strengths and weaknesses.
4. Two Day Orientation
Upon successful completion of the above, you may be invited to one of our bakeries for a two day orientation. This is designed to give you an insight into the unique day to day operations of a COBS Bread bakery.
5. Selection Interview
Following the two day orientation, you may be invited to attend an additional selection interview to further explore and identify your traits and competencies, matching them to the suitability of running a COBS Bread franchise.
At this stage we will conduct reference checks and ask you to provide us with a completed criminal record check.
6. Final Review
Once all of the above is completed and we feel that you are a good match with COBS Bread, you will be invited to attend a final meeting with our Vice President and/or Regional Director.
We strongly encourage both you (and your partner, if relevant) to attend as many of the meetings as possible, in particular this one. Even though you may not be conducting the business with your partner, they will play an integral part in the business.
All being successful, you will commence franchise or MTO training with COBS Bread.
