Beet Hummus

Served with our Turkish Bread or French Baguettes, the beets in this hummus create a beautiful colour that will brighten up any table

Serves 4 as appetizers


Your choice of COBS Bread, sliced. We reccomend OBS Bread Turkish Bread or French Baguette
400g can of chickpeas 
4 beets, peeled, boiled until soft 
4 cloves garlic, crushed 
1 lemon, juiced 
1/3 cup olive oil, plus extra for drizzling 
1 tsp ground cumin 
4 Tbsp tahini 
2 parsley springs, leaves picked and roughly chopped


  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas and keep a teaspoon aside to garnish the hummus.
  2. Place all ingredients except the Turkish Bread and parsley into a blender and process till smooth. If it’s too thick, gently drizzle a little water into the mixture until the consistency is just right.
  3. Put the dip in a bowl and top with a drizzle of olive oil, reserved chickpeas and chopped parsley.
  4. Slice the Turkish Bread diagonally to serve with hummus
