Are you a fan of our double chocolate scone? Are you not a fan of our double chocolate scone? Either way, this test kitchen feature is for you!
Our technical baker David has been hard at work adjusting the current Double Chocolate Scone recipe and some of our bakeries have opted to trial it.
This new version has a reduced amount of cocoa powder in it! This results in a scone that's lighter, fluffier and moister but still retains its chocolatey goodness. Some bakeries are also testing results using a vanilla glaze, like the ones from our Crestwood bakery as pictured above.
Need another reason to try it out? Some of our taste-testers have said it reminds them of Chocolate Cake they had a their childhood birthday parties.
Check below to see if your COBS Bread bakery is one participating in our Double Chocolate Scone Trial and let us know what you think of the updated version!
