COBS Bread is Opening in Prince George and Kynan is Feeling Good!

We are so excited to be joining the community of Prince George with our first bakery in the region! Meet Prince George local and our passionate franchisee, Kynan to find out why he decided to bring COBS Bread to PG! Opening on May 16th.

When did you join the COBS Bread family and what inspired you to do so?

I first engaged with COBS Bread back in September 2015 while researching business opportunities for Prince George.

What did you do before working at COBS?

I worked for TELUS Communications for 7.5 years, primarily in a sales role.

Why did you decide to open a COBS Bread bakery?

I come from an entrepreneurial family and always wanted to run my own business. Weighing my options from a new start-up to partnering with a franchise, COBS Bread was the perfect fit. It’s a great product and brand with community ties. As a franchisee, you really feel good about the business your doing.

What do you enjoy the most about being a franchisee?

I’m so happy to provide jobs and a great product to my community!

Which charities will your bakery donate End of Day products to?

  • Saint Vincent de Paul
  • PG Hospice House
  • Cornerstone Life Center
  • Carrier Sekani Family Services & The Community Linkages
  • AWAC – An Association Advocating for Women and Community
  • ASAP Shelter
  • Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Food Bank

How are you planning on getting involved in the community?

Beyond our End of Day Giving program I plan to engage with the community and hope to be part of future events, fundraisers and partnerships.

A little more about Kynan…

I am born and raised in Prince George, BC and absolutely love being part of this community. I am a passionate home cook which lead me on this journey to becoming a baker/franchisee.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend Stephanie, our two dachshunds Oliver & Winston, and our cat, Hello Kitty.  Together, we enjoy camping, hiking, fishing and golfing in the summer. In the winter – Hibernating and playing music.

Join Kynan and his team at the bakery on Community Day on May 25th when all sales from the day will be donated to KidSport
