Silvi, our franchisee of Heartland Town Center bakery in Mississauga, Ontario, joined the COBS Bread network in 2021. Before applying to become a franchisee, she was working a marketing role but have always dreamed of becoming a business owner. “I want the ability to start something from the ground up and build my own team,” says Silvi.
It has been a year since Silvi opened her bakery, and she still remembers what her first month was like. “My Area Manager has been so supportive since day one. He came to the bakery every week and supported me with whatever I needed,” remembers the Heartland Town Center Bakery Owner. “And it was so rewarding seeing the lineups and interest from the Mississauga Community!
Silvi is looking forward to getting more involved in the community. Currently, the Heartland Town Center bakery works with seven different charities through the End of Day Giving Program, where they donate leftover bread to communities in need. This includes Salvation Army, Mississauga Food Bank, local churches and community seniors. “I am excited to partner with schools and community groups to raise money for their initiatives through our Dough Raiser Program,” says Silvi.
