COBS BREAD OPENS IN PRINCE GEORGE – BREAKS FRANCHISE’S OPENING AND COMMUNITY DAY RECORDS

(Prince George, BC) May 30, 2019 – Canada’s largest bakery franchise, COBS Bread, opened on Thursday, May 16th in Pine Centre and broke the franchise’s opening day sales record. Community Day was held on Saturday, May 25th and also broke the company’s record for the highest amount raised- over $9,000. This will be donated to KidSport and will be topped up to $10,000 by the bakery owner, Prince George local Kynan Krstic.
This opening marks COBS Bread’s 114th bakery in Canada. “I’m so happy to provide jobs and a great product to my community,” says Krstic. “I come from an entrepreneurial family and always wanted to run my own business … COBS Bread was the perfect fit.”
COBS Bread is well known throughout BC for its range of traditional and artisan breads, as well as sweet and savoury treats such as scones, croissants, and danishes. In addition to baking fresh bread and treats all day every day, owners of all COBS Bread bakeries are actively involved in their local communities through the End of Day Giving program, which is a cornerstone of the COBS Bread brand. All unsold product at the end of the day is donated to local charities based on a pick-up schedule coordinated between the charity or community group and the bakery.
COBS Bread is located in Pine Centre on 3167 Massey Drive and will be open from 7am-7pm Mon-Sat and 7am – 6pm on Sundays.
