Avocado Toast From Morning to Night

There’s no denying that the once trendy, avocado toast has become part of our regular daily routines. We’ve had it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between – which gave us the idea to show you how easy it is to create a meal with avocado toast at any time throughout the day on our authentic sourdough bread!

Breakfast

Avocado Toast

We like to keep things nice and simple in the morning, especially during the week, and this is the perfect breakfast idea that can be done in less than 5 minutes! All you’ll need for this delicious breakfast is an avocado, our Sunflower Flax Sourdough, lemon juice and some salt and pepper to season.

To put it all together, place your bread in the toaster (at your desired toastiness). In a mixing bowl add peeled avocado, a pinch of salt and pepper, and a splash of lemon juice. Mash all together until you reach a desired consistency (we like to be able to spread ours, but keep it chunky if that’s your style). Taste and adjust seasoning to your liking.

When the toast is ready, simply add the mashed avocado to your toast and enjoy!

Lunch

Avocado, Shrimp Toast

You might find yourself with a bit more time to prepare your lunch, but we’ve kept it simple and quick enough for you to enjoy on the go. You will need the same ingredients as above, but this time we’ll add some bay shrimp. You can pick these up at your local grocery store and the best part is that you don’t need to cook them!

Follow the same method as breakfast, and simply top your toast with as many or as little shrimp as you like. We’ve gone with 5 so there’s a bit in every bite.

Dinner

Avocado, Shrimp, Tomato Toast

To finish your avocado and sourdough filled day, we are rounding this meal idea out with some delicious candied tomatoes. Candied tomatoes are a great way to make this avocado toast the perfect, filling dinner that will also impress anyone you serve. All you need is just some grape tomatoes & oil to make this delicious toast.

While the method remains the same as lunch, we recommend you candy your tomatoes first. To do this, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a frying pan on medium heat. While the oil is heating up, cut your grape tomatoes in half (lengthwise), place them in a bowl and add a pinch of salt and sugar before giving it a little stir.

Add the tomatoes to the pan cut-side down for 45 seconds, then flip (using a spoon works best to flip them) and cook for another 30 seconds. Assemble your toast the same as you did for lunch and add the tomatoes on top. Trust us when we say you won’t go back to plain tomatoes after you’ve tried these candied ones!
