COBS Bread is proud to announce that we have been certified as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Giving Back for the second year in a row. While our bakeries support different initiatives from within their communities, there is one thing that all bakeries do every single day: they donate all leftover product to local charities. Since 2003, we have contributed over $300 million in product donations to charities across the country, and we can’t wait to see this number continue to grow as we open new bakeries and find more new partners.
2020 Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness
We are also thrilled to share that we have also been designated as one of the 2020 Best Workplaces for Mental Wellness. This means that over 75% of our employees agree that working at COBS Bread is psychologically and emotionally healthy. This includes the employees you see every day, who continue to greet you with a warm smile when you enter our bakeries, as well as those baking behind the scenes! The access to delicious bread and treats can’t hurt, either!
2020 Best Workplaces for Women
Last, but certainly not least, we were also recognised as one of the Best Workplaces for Women. To receive this, this means that at least 90% of our employees feel that their workplace is safe and people are treated fairly regardless of their gender and was based on results from female respondents. It also indicates that our programs and practices promote the fair treatment and advancement of women. To this end, we are proud to boast a high number of female franchisees, sales leads, baking staff, support office staff, and more.
