COBS BREAD RAISES $338,528 FOR CHARITIES ACROSS CANADA WITH DOUGHNATION CAMPAIGN

Vancouver, BC – April 21, 2022 – COBS Bread bakeries raised a total of $338,528 for 75 bakeries across Canada through the second annual Doughnation Day campaign which took place in-bakery and online from March 3- April 20, 2022.

Funds were raised via customer “doughnations” at the point of sale in the bakery. The campaign culminated in “Doughnation Day” on April 2, where $2 from the sale of every 6-pack of Hot Cross Buns went to the bakery’s fundraising efforts for their local charity.

The bakery that raised the most funds for their community charity was the RioCan Kingston location, where they raised over $17,000 for The Food Sharing Project. COBS Bread founders, the Gillespie family, matched their Doughnation amount and the bakery was able to donate over $34,000 to the charity.
